How Does Batch Settlement Work in CardPointe?
Batch settlement is the process of finalizing and submitting your completed credit card transactions for processing.
Throughout the business day, approved transactions are grouped together in an open batch. A batch typically begins with the first transaction of the day and remains open until it is closed and settled.
When a batch is settled, CardPointe electronically submits all transactions in the batch to the processor, finalizing the day's sales for payment processing.
Please note the following:
- Transactions are not considered final until the batch has been settled.
- Once a batch has been settled, voids can no longer be performed on transactions within that batch.
- Funds are typically deposited into your account within approximately 48 business hours after the batch has been settled.
Understanding the batch settlement process can help you track transactions, reconcile deposits, and manage payment activity more effectively.
