What is ACH?

Learning about Automated Clearing House

ACH is a bank-to-bank payment network that allows businesses and individuals to send and receive money electronically. Think of it as a more secure and efficient alternative to traditional paper checks or wire transfers. ACH transactions will make use of a customer’s bank account information as opposed to a physical debit or credit card.

Key information about ACH funding:

ACH funding takes 1-2 business days to settle. However, at any point during that 7 day period, the patient or their bank may reject the transaction. The funds may appear in the practice's bank account sooner than the 7 day point but it will be taken out if a reject hits, so our recommendation is not to utilize the funds until the 7 day point has passed.
