Key differences between interchange plus and surcharging
The difference between interchange plus and surcharge is that on a surcharge model the customer would be automatically assessed a 3% surcharge by our system for electing to use a credit card as form of payment. This 3% surcharge would eliminate any fees that your business would pay in relation to credit card processing. For debit cards, the business would be charged a flat 1.50% & $0.25 per transaction fee and the customer would be assessed no surcharge.
For interchange plus it is the traditional pricing model in which the business pays the entirety of their card processing fee and no surcharge is assessed to the customer at any time.
